Becas para participar del curso de ADOBE

1. LLAMADO  

La Asociación Uruguaya de Difusión del Español como Lengua Extranjera –AUDELE, en conjunto con  “Guildford School of Languages”, convoca a interesados para ser beneficiarios de una beca para un curso de los programas de ADOBE en el marco del programa de Adobe Youth Voices –AYV- (Adobe la voz de los jóvenes).

El llamado está dirigido a jóvenes Uruguayos de entre 13-18 años.

Este curso tiene como objetivo capacitar a 60 jóvenes quienes deberán presentar un mínimo de 5 proyectos finales realizados con los programas de ADOBE en noviembre de 2011.

2. SOBRE EL CURSO

El programa de AYV le ofrece a jóvenes la oportunidad de transmitir sus ideas a través de la creación y producción de sus propios mensajes en los medios, desarrollando así un trabajo independiente. Con la ayuda de la plataforma AYV aprenderán tanto las fortalezas y limitaciones de cada medio de comunicación y durante su formación se transformarán en participantes activos de la sociedad.

AUDELE –Asociación Uruguaya de Difusión del Español como Lengua Extranjera- fue seleccionada en Uruguay para llevar a cabo el programa de AYV. Dos voluntarios de AUDELE participarán en una capacitación de 10 semanas online, quienes luego dictarán los programas de ADOBE a un mínimo de 60 jóvenes uruguayos.

Se dará difusión a nivel mundial a través de la Fundación Adobe y a través de los canales de la Comisión Juventud de la Unión Europea. En Uruguay la solicitud de interés Ministerial se encuentra en proceso, se cuenta ya con la participación en el proyecto Árbol -Televisión Participativa que luego será emitido en TV ciudad y Canal 5. 

Plazo de inscripción: hasta el viernes 29 de julio de 2011 de forma digital a través de guildfordschool@gmail.com enviando la cédula escaneada.  

3. OBJETIVOS

Los objetivos que se persiguen con la convocatoria son:

1.      Voz de los Jóvenes - la capacidad de la libre expresión.

2.      Desarrollo de la Juventud - el proceso de desarrollo de las habilidades y atributos personales que permitan a los jóvenes convertirse en adultos exitosos.

3.      Alfabetización mediática - la capacidad de analizar, evaluar y producir información a través de la utilización de diversos medios de comunicación.

4.      Desarrollo de habilidades - como el pensamiento crítico, uso de la tecnología y los medios de producción.

5.      La acción social o la participación ciudadana para la creación de contenido.

4. PARTICIPANTES

Jóvenes uruguayos de entre 13-18 años, interesados en capacitarse con la plataforma de ADOBE.

5. DESARROLLO DE LA SELECCIÓN

Las postulaciones se realizarán de acuerdo con las normas recogidas en esta convocatoria, hasta el viernes 29 de julio de 2011.

La selección de los participantes se realizará a través de sorteo. Y se les notificará a los seleccionados vía e-mail.

TESTIMONY from Jordan, Long Term volunteer in Uruguay with AUDELE - Guildford

“With Autumn came a return to Montevideo and the beginning of volunteering. This mostly consists of teaching English at a specialist language school, which with my limited knowledge of Spanish was un poco dificil, but has been helped by the friendly and welcoming attitude of all the students.”

The diet of chivitos (burgers stacked with everything the mind can think of) and empanadas (meat filled pastries) might feel like heaven at first..

I have been in Uruguay for 6 weeks, nearly a quarter of the way through my EVS placement. We arrived at the tail-end of summer, just in time for a week long national holiday that we spent travelling along Uruguay's beautiful Atlantic coast. Living with Uruguayan's in a beach house, going out at three in the morning for Carnaval, relaxing in small surfing villages, sharing mate: it was a great way to be introduced to the tranquilo culture here.

With Autumn came a return to Montevideo and the beginning of volunteering. This mostly consists of teaching English at a specialist language school, which with my limited knowledge of Spanish was un poco dificil, but has been helped by the friendly and welcoming attitude of all the students. I mostly teach through songs, journalism and stories that interest me, so lessons are almost always good. We are also starting a new project, Abriendo Puertas, to give disadvantaged children from certain barrios the chance to learn English, which should be a nice mix of challenging and rewarding.
Montevideo is an eclectic mix of the beautiful and the run-down, an old world Europe and an infringing America. There is an exciting cultural scene, cafes from a different era, the long walk on las ramblas that covers the city's coast with el Rio de la Plata. Its not the city I expected, but it has character and charm that slowly wins you over. It took little time to become integrated, spending nights at several Uruguayan's homes and cooking an assado, a beastly South American barbecue, on the Sunday just gone. I have been to the Estadio Centenario to see the famous Nacional play, where flares and fire mix with an electric ambience, to several art installations that take over whole houses, to see Uruguay's national orchestra play in Parque Rodo, to Buenos Aires for a long weekend.

Uruguay is still relaxing in the warm weather and seems to refuse to really start up until after Easter, so we will see what a (hopefully) sunny winter brings.

Selección para programa de Fundación ADOBE Internacio​nal

AUDELE y Guildford School Seleccionan: jóvenes voluntarios interesados en el área de diseño, audiovisual, arte, fotografía, para llevar a cabo una proyecto avalado por la fundación ADOBE Internacional, el cual incluye una capacitación online y luego el desarrollo del proyecto. Los interesados deben leer los requisitos a continuación, y si están interesados enviar CV antes del jueves 28/4 a las 13:00 a audele@adinet.com.uy . Los seleccionados serán notificados vía email y se mantendrá una reunión con fecha y horario a confirmar (entre el 29/4 y el 4/5) .


Commit to taking part in a 10 week online training, delivering programs to youth in your community and submitting a minimum of 5 final projects in November 2011. The educators must have the following skills:



 Educators must be affiliated with the organization and be extremely reliable


 Educators must be willing and able to commit 3-5 hours a week for 8 months to be able to fully deliver the Adobe Youth Voices program and build capacity among other educators in their community


 Educators should have experience with youth engagement and education


 Educators should have an interest in local/global issues and social change


 Educators must have advanced communication in English (Verbal and Written)


 Educators must have proficient computer and Internet skills

Reunión Informativa / visita de Ash de Everything is Possible

Durante los días 7 y 8 de Abril hemos recibido en Uruguay a Ash, mienmbro de la organización Everything is Possible de Inglaterra. Durante su visita nos acompaño en una reunión informativa para voluntarios Uruguayos y tuvo la posibilidad de reunirse con los voluntarios de su organización que se encuentran en Uruguay actualmente.
